Jacqueline is an accomplished performer and composer specializing in Saxophone and Clarinet whilst also playing the piano and accordion..... In recent years she has also been exploring the therapeutic use of sound using instruments including himalayan bowls, sruti box, voice, gamelan, and gong. She is also a state registered Music Therapist. She has recently collaborated with Columbian vocalist/sound practitioner Juan Gabriel Gutiérrez of Kamadaklan; www.myspace.com/kamadaklan on several projects. Last year she founded and wrote material for AkashaRose; www.myspace.com/akasharoses and currently performs with several other artists and groups including Tambura (7 piece improvisatory band combining jazz and Indian classical music including instruments such as the harp, violin, sruti box, double bass, udu, hang etc); www.myspace.com/tamburamusic and Mieszanka, a gypsy jazz, klezmer band; www.myspace.com/mieszanka and The Bohemianauts; www.myspace.com/thebohemianauts. Her career as a performer has often ventured overseas playing at various festivals and events throughout Europe and Australia.

Jacqui along with two other sound practitioners runs a monthly Soundbath on the 1st Wednesday of each month at South East Star Centre, White Eagle Lodge, 15 Park Crescent Place, Brighton, BN2 3HF. 7pm - 8.45pm by donation. To be put on the mailing list please email sound_bath@btinternet.com
