Quietus are an eclectic 3 piece citing influences from a broad range of bands including Tool, Levellers, Dave Matthews band, Tracy Chapman and Pink floyd.

Quietus are:

Jo Maultby, who is the singer and guitarist, with vocal and guitar skills you would not expect from such a tiny individual,

Matt Burns, who is the drummer, with a completely original style of playing that merges ultimate feel with incredible skill and character,

and

Colin Campbell, the bass player, whose funky bass lines get even the most lethargic of people moving

Colin and Matt worked together on a funk project in Lincoln before moving down to Brighton where they heard Jo playing at one of Brighton’s many open mic nights in early 2003.

Quietus have an aggressive rock sound while still managing to portray an uplifting light and funky feel. They are "mesmerizing to watch", and the "onstage chemistry is previously unseen".

Quietus currently have an 8 track mini album recorded recently which shows their unique sound off well, however this is a band best heard live, when they are in their element.
