Profile
Joel has been in bands since his school and art college days, clocking up many uncomfortable Transit van miles along the way and playing such illustrious venues as Sandford Scout Hut and the River Wear Social Club.
Born in London, weened on Dylan and Lennon, grew up scratching big sister's small but very cool Two-Tone and New Wave records, came of age with the Smiths and grew older in the company of many, from Wilco to Tindersticks, Nick Drake to Nick Cave.
Now going solo, settling, recording and gigging in Brighton after several years working in art galleries in the wilderness of Scotland and Cornwall, Joel peforms original songs, accompanying himself on acoustic and electric guitar - pop songs, folk songs and ballads charting love and life, that will appeal to both the hopeless romantic and the hardened cynic in all of us.
