Profile
The Nimomashtic sound of indie/folk music is a melting pot of colour, character and melody, the dynamic songs and unpredictable nature of the band make for an exicting live act that never fails to get an audience singing along.
Born in the spring of 2004 out of a desire to make honest, passionate, captivating and insightful music, this is a band who never stand still - drawing from many different musical sources in the process including folk, rock'n'roll, gypsy and North African music always underpinned by their own unique sound.
Based on the south coast of England, the end of summer 2005 saw these seasoned performers complete work on their debut album 'fireflies and fables'. This led them to set up the 'WALK YOUR TALK' tour 2006 - which saw the band quite literally walking from gig to gig covering a distance of over 900 miles and playing 40 concerts.
Throughout the tour the band sought to raise awareness about global warming, and inspired by the old American folk hero 'Johnny Appleseed' they planted apple seeds along the way symbolic of the fact that only with mans helping hand can a potentially overwelming crisis be avoided.
The 'Walk your talk' tour was filmed was and is in the process of being turned into a documentary with a release date for later this year.
In 2007 the band to followed up their tour of 2006 with a walk across southern England, along the way they played 15 concerts whilst again planting appleseeds and wildflowers.
In support of the tour these intrepid musicians released a new double cd collection entitled 'Advetures in the art of song'.
