Profile

I am involved in many different musical projects, but at the heart of what I do is write and sing my own songs. I recorded my debut album 'Heart Sails' in 2006, which has been described as "sixties folk/jazz coated with lush sweeps of strings.." Whilst recording the album I discovered that I love the sound of strings and I started to write my own arrangements for some of the songs. I have now started to arrange strings for other artists around the country. I studied jazz at Chichester College and I sing & play gypsy, swing and Latin jazz in bands and duos. I play with Paul Richards & Pete Lorenz who are also Healthy Concert regulars in Brighton. I run a harmony singing group called We-Bop Harmony and I arrange jazz/soul/African/gospel/pop songs for them. The group is open to anyone to join and we do performances from time to time.
