ABOUT MYSELF

I born in Mumbai on 12-12-1963 in a middle class Marathi family.

My music career started when I was in school, 30 years back. I took primary lessons from Shri Manohar Sohani and Pandit Ramkrishnabuwa Joshi of Gwalior Gharana (school). I feel very lucky that for advanced training I could go to a very very popular and very much respected singer of Indian Classical Music, Pandit Ram Marathe. Pandit Ram Marathe had studied music for 40 years with various gurus of different gharanas like Gwalior, Agra and Jaipur. I also recieved advanced training from Pandit Madhusudan Kanetkar of Jaipur gharana who is runnning 90 now and known for his deep knowledge and teaching skill. It was he who introduced me to the subject of Voice Production and as a result of which i am here in England to have voice lessons from Pandit Lachlan Beveridge, my 5th guru!

Few years back I came across Sent Jnyaneshwara's Jnyaneshwari, a book on Bhagwadwadgeeta and inturn on Indian Philosophy. It impressed me a lot and I became convinced that to live our life in a better manner everybody should study this science. I decided to go deeper. I got another book, Geeta Rahasya wriiten by Lokmanya Tilak which made my ideas clearer. Presently I am studying liturature of Aadi Shankaracharya and Upanishadas. Now I am also busy in writing book on Bhag! wadgeeta.

By profession I am an Engineer. I graduated in Electronic Engineering, achieving a Master's degree in Instrumentation. After graduation taught in same engineering college, where I studied, for 8 years. Then I left the job and started a manufacturing unit with two partners 10 years back. Now we own a factory where more than 75 people work. We manufacture Electrical Control Panels and Sheet Metal Enclosures. We have recenty started a Building Construction Division of our activity. Thus we are now working in all three basic branches of engineering viz. Civil, Mechanical and Electrical.
