Richard Pollott is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a unique and powerful sound.
Richard delivers intelligent and thoughtful lyrics through warm, soulful vocals backed up by an outstanding three piece band. Richard's piano and guitar are joined by Andrew North on electric double bass and Andy Shedden on human beatbox, with occasional appearances from the Alphege String Quartet.
This summer he is set to launch his second full-length album of songs, and Richard and his band have a string of concerts across London and the UK to promote the new release.
Tracks from Richard’s first album Kahani gained radio play and widespread critical acclaim, including winning the BBC/Clifford T Ward Songwriting Award, with judges including Robert Plant and Clive Selwood.
Recent support slots have included Robert Plant, Ezio, Jem Finer and Julia Biel, with the band appearing at festivals and concert venues across the UK including Bush Hall, The Bedford, Water Rats Theatre, Trinity Theatre (Tunbridge Wells) and the Gulbenkian Theatre (Canterbury), as well as a house party for Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page. In December 2006 Richard also performed his first concert in Asia, performing in Rusustu, Japan.
