Valentine Palmer has spent over 30 years in the world of media and entertainment. His early career embraced leading roles in musicals and operetta in both London’s West End and Television world wide,
including “Robert and Elizabeth”, “Oliver”, “The Mikado” and “The Merry Widow”. As a straight actor he was seen in numerous roles in popular British TV shows such as “Dr Who” and “Minder”, as well as leads in classic television dramas like Pinter’s “The Caretaker” and Beckett’s “Waiting for Godot”.

For many years a well-known voice for TV commercials and commentaries, Valentine later became a producer of radio and TV commercials, as well as many corporate and training videos where his clients included, BP Oil, the Department of Trade and Industry and IBM.

In recent years, Valentine’s services have been much in demand as a trainer and coach in all forms of personal communication skills, from basic voice work to creative writing, from confidence building to business networking. To all these, and many other areas, Valentine brings his own original and exciting approach, seen recently on Channel 5. His clients come from Africa, India, China, Russia, Africa, Japan, Australia and the USA, as well as most EU countries. They are all anxious to improve their communication skills, with particular emphasis on their use of the English Language. He also works with major organisations, including Barclays, Morgan Stanley, The Open University and Cisco Systems.

Valentine is the principal of the Academy of Communication and has just completed Am I getting through to you? an entertaining book covering all aspects of his unique training methods for improving voice, writing and presentation skills, based on a lifetime in the media.
