Emperor`s Birthday Party

It seems so strange to be so happy

It feels so good to be so free

Sail through life like a schooner on the silken waters

To the Emperor`s Birthday Party for tea

This is a high class and light hearted event held as an afternoon tea party; bone china cups and saucers, hot jasmine tea, fresh homemade scones, Cornish clotted cream and jam. Inspiring music is played on acoustic guitar accompanied by voice, bamboo flutes and Native American drums. Songs that you can sing from the Ash Songbook are soul healing; they come from a variety of sources, (especially the Ash Family) plus those of teachers and visionaries whose words and melodies have meaning for these powerful and transformative times.

This vision came in the dark night of my soul on the coldest February night with the frigid east wind blowing through the broken window of my bedroom, exhausted I had thrown myself onto my bed and dropped into a deep sleep.

I see the ovens at the bottom of the hill so I collect the tray of piping hot scones and run to the top of the hill through the trees, I feel really happy. On the top of the hill is an old fashioned striped tent blowing in the wind; I place the scones on the table that is set up for afternoon tea. I come out into a crowd of people and they call out ``The Emperor is coming, the Emperor is coming, get off the path`` I get off the path to find that everyone else is seated on the other side, I feel out of place but there is no time to move. The Emperor goes swiftly past and into a white caravan behind me, he comes out and sits beside me and reaches down. I reach up and he withdraws his hands and with a peel of laughter, he reaches down again and again withdraws laughing. Joy fills me from head to toe as I realise the closeness and humour of love and life`s potential.

This dreamy vision became alive both day and night for the next months, it lightened my soul and I rose out of despair into an extraordinary future; it has become pictures, extensive music and poetry.

In the Native American tradition visions are only activated by being anchored as real living experiences. The Emperor`s Birthday Party is a powerful and beautiful vision being acted out through songs of joy with the intent for a more beautiful world experience. This event offers you creation for the day; sacred space with a difference.

You prepare a clear space in a living room, and make the scones (the AGA cookbook has a great recipe) get out the best bone china and be prepared for a beautiful and sacred tea party. Cornish clotted cream and Jasmine tea can be bought from Waitrose. I will provide the music, poetry and ambience. In many events I will be accompanied by my wife Renata and my brother David, both professional singers and song writers who also support my vision.
